Today is 50th birthday of Meg Ryan, the original America’s sweetheart and queen of romantic comedies. Meg’s breakout role in When Harry Met Sally skyrocketed her to superstardom, and we desire to “have what she’s having.” She then went on to star in some of the best romantic comedies of our time, including Sleepless in Seattle, City of Angels and You’ve Got Mail.
Meg looks to have given up on the rom-coms these days, concentrating on more serious roles at the moment. We have to wonder if that has to do with her attempts to reverse the signs of aging with some minor tweaks that led to major results. That’s why we want to think of her beautiful face she was, the one we want to pair with a pint of Ben and Jerry’s. So we’ll settle on our couch and celebrate her milestone with a movie after looking at these 20 pictures of Meg Ryan through current year.
