Kristin Chenoweth

Tony Award holder star Kristin Chenoweth is recognized for her amazing voice and larger-than-life personality. Currently, the Oklahoma-raised star is leaving back to her country roots in the latest series GCB, which premieres Sunday, March 4 at 10:00 p.m., ET on ABC.

The wicked latest drama, set in Dallas, centers around the ultimate high school “mean girl” Amanda [Leslie Bibb], who is forced to return home in shame after her marriage closes in scandal. Amanda rapidly finds herself at odds with the town’s gossipy, church-going, designer-clad women all resolute to get vengeance on her. Chenoweth plays Carlene Cockburn, once the unattractive duckling, who was tortured by Amanda in high school.

Chenoweth, 43, talked to Parade.com about GCB, staying true to her confidence, and her own struggle with a high school intimidate.
