The actor has the gift of chat, but in his latest movie, "A Thousand Words," he's rendered close to silent. Murphy plays a fictional agent who learns that when a supernatural tree loses its previous leaf, he'll die. So far the critics aren't frightened. David Germain of the Associated Press says it is "a movie built on drivel."
